The SAS 70 Type II certification is one of the most stringent auditing standards for service companies, verifying that the providers delivers fully secure, reliable, effective operating environments with the proper controls for conducting high availability IT and Internet operations. Third party auditors conduct annually the SAS 70 Type II audit, which requires meticulous reviews and tests of the data center's operational procedures and controls.

Use of SSL certificates

  • To ensure the security of all communication to and from OnDemand it is enabled to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL is a protocol that allows applications to communicate across a network in a way designed to prevent interception, alterations, and message forgeries. SSL is used by many organizations and websites to send information in a secure form. OnDemand uses 256-bit SSL encryption in all communications to and from the website.
